YOUTH GROUP: Pastor Dan Cook
Ministry to teens in grades 7-12
Join us for our first Fall Youth Group: September 14 6:00 – 8:00 PM for a time of fun, fellowship, and Bible study.
The purpose of our youth ministry is to come alongside students in effort to teach, encourage, and model lives that are surrendered to Christ in servant leadership, faith, and holy living.
We seek to:
Form an identity in Christ – Our faith is not a part of who we are, it is who we are. Church is not a hobby or club but a community to which we belong. When a teen’s identity is in Christ, it will not become something that is tossed easily aside later in life.
Demonstrate that God matters – Many claim to believe in God, but few live as if He matters. We want to impart the wisdom and power of God’s Word in our students.
Transform through practice – We want to equip, teach, encourage, and participate together in practices of holiness including a vibrant personal walk with Christ and a uniting together in service of others. We want to see our students become doers of the word and not simply hearers only.
See youth ministry become family ministry – No one has more influence on teens than their parents. We want to come alongside parents in an effort to disciple our students while also providing an involved faith community through our church to support families and build up our students.
We encourage you to come out and visit us. We meet on Sunday nights during the school year from 6:00-8:00 PM, and on Wednesday nights during the summer from 6:30-8:30 PM.
